This series integrates the subtlety of Eastern lore with the vibrancy of western realism to create stunning and graceful "moments of heart and inner being" through the central symbolic theme of Kimono tapestries.
The Japanese word for spring is Haru
Hana means flower.
Orchid Mon Symbol
This Symbol is a Mon.
A Mon is a Japanese family crest.
This particular Mon is one of an ORCHID.
This motif is hand-painted repeatedly throughout the kimono as a pattern.
From the scent of a single orchid comes the dream of a million springs.

deeply the fragrant blossom of her womanhood and new beginnings.
